Hello! I'm Junaidah Md Jusoh. Currently, I’m Diploma Education (DPLI) student at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, UPSI Tanjung Malim Perak and major studying in Physics Education. Before that, I graduated from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) in Bachelor Degree of Electrical Engineering, majoring in Electronics.
What I like to be a teacher? It so simple. I like teaching and when someone understands what I teach, it gives me once comfortable.

I grew up in Kepala Batas, Penang. Most of my free time is now spent with watching tv and movies and also reading some educational books to improve my knowledge in my educational field. I also interested in painting and drawing by using adobe photoshop.

My teaching goal is always deliver the best and up-to-date knowledge to my student. In the coming five years, as a professional physics educator, I plan to be a successful and effective physics teacher. I also try to help the students learn to think logically and learn problem-solving methods and techniques.

Goal 1: In the classroom, I will work to enhance or improve student learning in understanding the basics physics conceptual.

Goal 2: In the classroom, I will continue to try to find better methods in class for determining if the students really understand the current topic. I already know every student have different kind of learning so I also should have a variety of teaching method.

What is reflective writing?

Reflective writing is evidence of reflective thinking. In an academic context, reflective thinking usually involves:

1. Looking back at something (often an event i.e. something that happened, but could also be an idea or object)
2. Analysing the event or idea (thinking in depth and from different perspectives, and trying to explain, often with reference to a model or theory from your subject)
3. Thinking carefully about what the event or idea means for you and your ongoing progress as a learner and/or practicing professional.

Reflective writing is thus more personal than other kinds of academic writing. We all think reflectively in everyday life, of course, but maybe not to the same depth as that expected in good reflective writing at university level.

I plan to continue my formal studies in master education in relation to physics education.

I will work very hard to try to improve my teaching skills. The primary focus in this process is providing an environment which promotes better learning. This means looking at all aspects of the subject matter.

To help learn more about teaching, I plan to attend science education conferences to the improvement of teaching. I also will take a full effort read several books and newsletters covering all aspects of the teaching process.

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

My objective as a teacher is to motivate my students toward a level of independence where they develop a desire to learn and think for themselves. I love to teach and help my students learn. I believe in their infinite potential to learn and grow as individuals. My students are my top priority. I try to convey this to them in my methods of teaching and the time I dedicate to teaching. I see teaching as involving a give-and-take relationship between teachers and students. I believe that it is my responsibility as a teacher to provide students with a conducive environment to learn, to facilitate them to seek knowledge that will help them to success in achieving their goals. The teacher needs to be very patient; to be tough at times; to present a diversity of materials, techniques, and input, and, above all, to have a sense of humor. Boredom is the cruel enemy of learning. I look forward to seeing myself not only being a competent teacher, but also an effective learner who appreciates learning from working with students time after time in my teaching career.
